Morley Preparative Meeting was formed around 1905 and met in a hall in Ackroyd Street. It was constituent of Brighouse Monthly Meeting until 1924, when it joined the newly formed Leeds Monthly Meeting. It was discontinued in 1969. There was also a burial ground in Morley, dating back to the early 18th century, on land originally purchased by William Jackson of Armley and Robert Arthington of Farnley as early as 1689.
